★ This pen holder for penmanship practice was devised and manufactured by Mr. Shikou Takami after years of painstaking research, to make it easiest for beginners to write well.

★ "S.T." stands for the initials of Mr. Shikou Takami, who designed it.

★ It was sold by the Japan Calligraphy Promotion Association from the late Showa 30s to the Showa 50s (1955-1980s).
These are rare pen holders and nibs that are no longer manufactured or sold and are difficult to obtain.
